Sean Dickson - (39 Yrs. old) Owner / Programmer

Birmingham, AL native who served in the United States Army for nine years attaining the rank of Sergeant First Class. He is a graduate of the U.S. Army's Airborne School and Ranger School. He was a Special Forces Medic with 3rd Group and a Modern Army Combatives Program, Level 3 Master Instructor.
Sean Dickson served in a Recon Scout Platoon with the 82ND Airborne Division during the Iraq invasion of 2003 as well as being a veteran of Afghanistan with 3 RD Special Forces Group.
Sean has been CrossFitting since 2008 and can be found every day on the “black mats” interacting with and coaching the athletes of CFR. Qualifications include; CrossFit Level 1 (CF-L1) Trainer, Kettle Bell Concepts certified, National Academy of Sports Medicine Certified Personal Trainer, National Registered Emergency Medical Technician license.

Wife, Mother and avid CrossFitter. Sandy has been CrossFitting for 7 years and an instructor for almost five years and is a CrossFit Level 1 (CF-L1) Trainer, CrossFit Strongman & CrossFit Gymnastics Certified. Sandy became one of our athletes when we opened in 2010, she has competed in a many CrossFit competitions and placed in the “Top Ten” in each one. Sandy uses her own personal experience of losing over 20lbs, gaining lean muscle, and being a “masters” athlete, to educate & assist all members in reaching their own goals as well as the knowledge of preparing for and competing in the sport of CrossFit.
“I began my fitness journey at the age of 45 as a stay-home mother of two. Within 6 months, I represented the gym in my first local CrossFit competition, won my division and was hooked. I continued daily training and moved on to larger competitions. I love CrossFit, the camaraderie and the challenge it promotes whether competing or not. Born and raised in the Birmingham area. He has a sociology degree from the University of Alabama. He has been an ACE certified personal trainer since 2009, began CrossFitting in 2010 and received his Level 1 CrossFit Certification (L1) in 2013. We are very excited for Jordan to join the CrossFit Riverchase family!
“I always kept my mind on functional strength and conditioning and never really fell in with the regular gym crowd. By 2010, I had fully become aware of CrossFit, and the caliber of the athletes competing. Over the course of the next year my brother and I started running benchmark WOD's on our own, and started acquiring some of the other skills necessary for the sport. Born and raised in the Pelham area. Collegiate swimmer that became a professional swim coach after graduation. Michael spent two years as a CrossFit coach at another affiliate before finding his home here at CrossFit Riverchase this year.

A native of southern California, Casey moved to Alabama to play college baseball at Troy University. Casey owns an insurance company and coaches CrossFit because of his love of being in the gym and around the members. After a year of CrossFitting with us Casey asked to be brought on as a part time coach, now that's passion. After a period of time shadowing the owner he began running classes on his own and has been doing so for three years.
